Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Belfast Port to join the early morning sailing to Scotland. On arrival in Cairnryan we travel to Glasgow to enjoy some free time to explore the city. Glasgow is rich with industrial heritage, striking architecture and a brilliant mix of top attractions, there are hundreds of amazing things to see and do in this city. Late afternoon, join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and travel to your hotel in Falkirk for check-in.
This morning after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), depart the hotel and travel to join the SS Walter Scott, one of the oldest steamships in the world. Cruise the beautiful waters of Loch Katrine whilst listening to the tales and legends of the loch narrated by a crew member. We continue through Rob Roy MacGregor country to Callander and finally back to historical Stirling for some free time to enjoy exploring the castle views and cobbled streets. Before returning to the hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner.
This morning after breakfast and check out say farewell to Stirling as we travel to the historic port town of Bo’ness and its vintage railway. The journey snakes along the shores of the Firth of Forth with views of the majestic Ochill Hills, before climbing a tree-lined gradient, passing woodland, wildflowers and waterfalls to the country station of Birkhill. Alight here to take a stroll in the ancient woodlands of the Avon Gorge. Departing Birkhill, the train crosses the impressive Avon Viaduct to Manuel. After lunch head deep into the Highlands to our hotel in Newtownmore the base for our next three nights.
After breakfast join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), as we travel to the town of Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park. Today enjoy some free time to explore the town before boarding the Strathspey Railway for the 45-minute journey through spectacular Speyside mountainous scenery. Brought back to life in 1978 by a group of volunteers experience the golden age of steam whilst onboard. After lunch travel North through Grantown on Spey to a local whisky distillery for a tour and tasting. Afterwards re-join your coach and return to your hotel.
Today after breakfast join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), as we travel to Fort William to join the Jacobite Steam Train for the two-hour journey to Mallaig. Sit back and absorb the beautiful views of the lochs, mountains, Glenfinnan Viaduct and the small isles of Eigg, Muck and Rum as we travel. Enjoy some time in Mallaig before re-joining your coach, we will return make the return journey back to the hotel stopping off in Glenfinnan to see Bonnie Price Charlie’s monument, the massive viaduct and Loch Shiel.
After breakfast and checking out (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), join your coach as we make are way back to Cairnryan Port with comfort stops en-route before joining the evening ferry crossing to Belfast. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
