Tour Plan

Day 01 Departure

Meet your coach at your selected pick-up point and travel to Dublin to join the early morning ferry crossing to Holyhead. On arrival in Holyhead, we travel to visit Conwy Town a world heritage site with an imposing thirteenth-century castle and walls. Conwy’s quaint harbour and a revolutionary Telford suspension bridge Mid afternoon re-join (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) the coach and travelling to our hotel in Llanberis for check-in and some free time to relax before dinner.

Day 02 Exploring

After breakfast join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) for a coastline drive, pass sandy beaches and coastal villages like Conwy with its castle, with a stop to take in the sea air and stroll Llandudno’s promenade. Afterwards we visit the nearby Penrhyn Castle, a neo-Norman castle crammed with fascinating items, such as a one-ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria, elaborate carvings, plasterwork and mock-Norman furniture, an outstanding collection of paintings and a fascinating industrial railway museum. The 60 acres of grounds include exotic trees, plants, and a Victorian walled garden. Later re-join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and make your way back to your hotel.

Day 03 Activities

This morning after breakfast (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) join the mountain train at Llanberis for the 4.7-mile ride to Snowdon’s summit – the highest peak in Wales. At 3560ft it dominates the landscape. Marvel at the spectacular views across Wales and into England. There is a state-of-the-art visitor centre with restaurant, and a short path leading to Snowdon’s summit. Before returning take the short drive to the National Slate Museum – travel back to Victorian times, see the workshops, split a slate, and hear a real insight into the hardships of quarry life. Later re-join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and make your way back to your hotel.

Day 04 Exploring

After breakfast join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) travel to the historical town of Caernarfon dating back to the 13th century and dominated by one of the most impressive castles in Wales. Afterwards we travel over the Menai Straights and on to the Isle of Anglesey with a photo stop at the impressive Beaumaris Castle, an unfinished masterpiece built in 1295. Board the cruiser to Puffin Island – home to many species of birds and wildlife, enjoy the spectacular scenery on your 80-minute cruise with live commentary. Later you re-join your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) and make your way back to your hotel.

Day 05 End of tour

This morning after breakfast and checking out (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager), we travel to the cathedral city of Bangor to enjoy some free time to explore before joining your coach (departure time will be confirmed by your tour manager) to make your way back to Holyhead to join the early afternoon ferry crossing to Dublin Port. On arrival, you return to your original joining point.
